Zulu Adigwe, a Nollywood celebrity, stands out as one of the industry’s top performers. Famous for portraying elders, chiefs, fathers, and traditional rulers, he shares the screen with other legends like Pete Edochie, Chiwetalu Agu, Ngozi Ezeonu, Patience Ozokwor, and Ken Saro-Wiwa, whom do especially Mr. B In Ken Saro-Wiwa’s hit “Basi and Company” in 1987.

Early Life And Education
Originally from Enugu, Adigwe spent his early years there, but later moved to Austria for his primary and secondary education.
Before entering the theater, he studied French and German, worked as an instructor, and briefly explored Medicine. After the death of his father, he returned to Nigeria to obtain a degree in theater arts from the University of Ibadan, where he studied rigorously and graduated with First Class Honors.
Adigwe Originally from Enugu State Nigeria, Adigwe spent his pre-school years in Austria, from primary school to tertiary level.
Though he began his European journey in 1970 for university studies, he later ventured back to Nigeria in 1999 to be a part of Nollywood. Initially studying medicine at an Austrian university, he eventually transferred to the University of Ibadan where he graduated with a degree in visual arts.
Career
Adigwe’s passion for acting ignited at the age of seven. His first TV appearance in Nigeria was on the show “Basi and Company” where he played the lead role of Mr. B, stepping in for Albert Egbe.
The change followed a disagreement between Egbe and the show’s creator Ken Saro-Wiwa. The addition of Adigwe to his band brought about a turning point for Mr. Adigwe.
In the character of B, who turned out to be an idler guitar player who makes catchy songs about getting rich quick. In addition, Adigwe contributed to a new song titled “Basi and Company”, and an album titled “Mr. B Makes His Millions” was launched alongside the track in 1990 under Polygraph Nigeria.
In 1991, Adigwe initially portrayed a character named Monday Edem, a university professor, in the pilot episode of Checkmate, but the role was given to someone else when production left Enugu to Lagos.
His first film, Blood of the Orphen, received both praise and appreciation. Additionally, in 2004, He appeared in Living Abroad starring Elvis Chuks, Ernest Asuzu, Emeka Enyiocha and Anne Njemanze. In 2019, Adigwe played Pascal Nworie in Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.

Cause of Death
Once again, the Nigerian film industry, popularly known as Nollywood, is mourning the loss of one of its esteemed members, Zulu Adigwe.
Adigwe, a veteran actor with years of experience, was declared dead by film producer Stanley Nwoko, who announced the sad news on Tuesday via social media. “It is with deep regret that I inform you of the death of the esteemed actor, Zulu Adigwe,” Nwoko said on his Instagram account.
The investigation into his passing is still ongoing. May he rest in peace, great actor. Adigwe’s death follows closely after Junior Pope and three other Nollywood actors tragically lost their lives in a boating accident on the Anam River. They were on their way to a movie when the incident happened. Adigwe was known for his roles as father figures in Nollywood movies.
