The album spawned more successful singles such as “Run My Race,” Yawa Dey, “Always Love You,” and “Tonight.” Despite being nominated for the 2013 Next Rated Artist award at The Headies, Burna Boy lost out to Sean Tizzle. But his debut album, L.I.F.E, was nominated for Album of the Year in the 2014 Nigerian entertainment industry.

In 2015, he founded his own record label, Spaceship Entertainment, after leaving Aristokrat Records. His second studio album, “On A Spaceship”, was released on November 25, 2015, along with the EP “Redemption” in September 2016.

The return of Burna Boy came with his third album, “Outside”, in January 2018, which is gaining international recognition with songs like “Ye”, “Heaven’s Gate”, “Rock Your Body”, among others, they won Album Of The Year in the Nigerian entertainment industry. In 2019, he contributed to Beyoncé’s music video, “The Lion King: The Gift”, with the track “Ja Ara E”, as the only guest artist with a single.

Burna Boy sold out Wembley Arena, won four awards at the 2019 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, and released his fourth album, “African Giant,” on July 26, 2019. This album, which includes, featuring hits like “Anybody,” “Killin’ Dem,” “Boma,” and “On The Low,” was nominated for a Grammy but lost to Angélique Kidjo.

During the epidemic in 2020, he began work on his fifth studio album, “Twice As Tall,” produced by P. Diddy and his mother Bose Ogulu. The album, which was released on August 14, 2020, won the Best International Album Grammy, making Burna Boy the first Nigerian artiste to win the prestigious Grammy nomination later on.
