Ademola Adeleke Biography – Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, born May 13, 1960, is a Nigerian politician and businessman. From 2022, he occupied the position of governor of Osun State, previously representing Osun-west senatorial district from 2017 to 2019.
He hails from the Adeleke family of Ede Osun State and contested the 2022 governorship of the people under the rule of the Democratic Party, defeating the former state governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola of the APC, who had earlier defeated him in the 2018 Osun State gubernatorial rerun election.

Before joining Pacific Holdings, he worked for the Quicksilver Courier Company in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, from 1985 to 1989. Adeleke initially contested the Osun State governorship election in 2018 against strong opponents from other parties. Despite initially claiming victory in a later court decision, the Supreme Court eventually affirmed its opponent’s victory. However, in a subsequent election in 2022, Adeleke was again elected, defeating incumbent President Gboyega Oyetola by a massive margin.
Adeleke was facing charges at the Osogbo High Court for falsifying his secondary school certificate and WAEC result to destroy his gubernatorial candidature. The testimony submitted to INEC was dated July 20, 1988, from Ede Islamic School, Osun State, but there was no Osun State at the time. Moreover, the SSCE results in question were not available in 1981.
